Your child has gone to the dentist for their regular checkup and now you are faced with the dreaded news that they have a cavity. They may brush and floss regularly and you may even limit the amount of sugar they consume. It's okay, no reason to panic. Here are the steps that Dr. Fuller and his team take in order to ensure this is as smooth a process as possible. Taking care of the cavity as quickly as possible is critical to decrease the potential for other problems later on. Dr. Fuller and his team will walk through the plan with you. Take Time To Brush!

You and your children hear it all the time but brushing their teeth regularly is the number one way to protect their smile for a lifetime. Without regular brushing habits children can have problems with decay and cavities that impact them for a lifetime. Dental decay can prevent them from consuming foods they love, causing nutritional problems. For example, if your children have decay, it can cause sensitivity or inhibit them from consuming apples, pears and other foods with a hard outer surface. These fruits are a great way to help them stay healthy. Brushing regularly is the only way to keep bacteria that is already in the mouth under check. Without brushing, food, decay and bacteria tend to get out of control, and will begin to attack the tooth enamel and eventually can impact not only the surface of the tooth but their gums as well.
