Win The Fight Against Dental Decay With Your Children!

It is a bummer when you walk into the bathroom and you realize that your children may not be brushing their teeth regularly, or when you go to the dentist and find out your child has numerous cavities. It can be devastating and it can be expensive. Win the fight against dental decay with your children by implementing these 4 tips from Dr. Fuller and his team.

1.     Put up pictures on the mirror in the bathroom on what the expectations are for them in the morning and at night. By putting pictures up it can help remind children that this is critical to their routine.
2.     Help them eat healthy. Eating healthy in between brushing and flossing can ensure that food is rinsed from their teeth instead of staying on their teeth throughout the day.
3.     Provide floss, toothbrushes and toothpaste that they like. If you have toothpaste that tastes bad to them, or if you have toothbrushes that don’t fit in their mouth, it can make it difficult to keep them motivated in brushing.
4.     Schedule and keep routine dental cleanings. Having them visit the dentist regularly is a great way to keep their smile in great shape.
