Is Your Child Suffering From A Missing Tooth?

Children naturally have missing teeth during their childhood ranging in age from 5 – 10 while their permanent teeth are coming in. But did your child have an accident that has them missing a tooth earlier than they should? A missing tooth can cause stress, speech trouble and other problems for your child, but a pedi-partial can ensure that not only is your child’s smile is back to normal while their other teeth are coming in, but they are able to formulate correct sounds.

Partials are a fantastic way to ensure that your child’s smile is back to its functionality. Once the missing tooth is replaced by the partial, which is  attached to their existing teeth they can go back to laughing, smiling and have normal function. When it is time, it can be removed and the other teeth will grow in returning their smile to a natural state.

Food may build-up around their pedi-partial and should be taken care of. Brushing and flossing is critical to keeping their smile healthy. Teaching them to brush teeth properly is important and should be monitored in order to ensure that there is no food buildup around the tooth creating more problems.
