Should Your Teen Whiten Their Teeth?

Being a teenager can be very difficult and stressful. There are so many pressures that your teen may feel, but the health and look of their smile should not be one of those things. Dr. Cameron Fuller and his team recommend that if your teen is struggling with staining on their teeth that it is best to first determine the cause.

Schedule a consultation with Dr. Cameron Fuller and his team in order to determine what is impacting your teen’s smile and causing those stains on their smile. While some teeth whitening, products may seem safe, not all products are. Whitening products are made of a peroxide solution which can cause sensitivity for your teen.  Some of the products have a higher rate of peroxide based on what is considered safe for adults. This is not necessarily what is safe for children and/or teens.

Research however, has shown that a high rate of teens who use whitening strips actually use them incorrectly. This can be a problem as it increases the risk of your teen doing more damage to their smile. Some of the common mistakes that teens make with whitening strips is leaving them on too long or swallowing the bleach.

Before they use whitening strips, get the facts and contact Dr. Cameron Fuller and his team.
