Poor Dental Care in Kids

The impact of poor dental care impacts more than just your kids smile. The mouth is the gateway to the body and if they are not properly brushing and flossing the bacteria can eventually work its way into their body and begin to cause them to not feel great. But not taking care of their teeth as kids can also lead to poor dental habits as adults which then can cause heart attack or stroke. Research shows that when children develop healthy dental habits as young kids they are more likely continue these habits into adulthood.

Cavities that result from lack of care can turn from a minor dental bill to a major dental bill. Taking time to have cavities filled or routine cleanings done can prevent you from having to pay large dental bills from neglect. Sealants, proper brushing and flossing routines and visiting the dentist on a regular basis can keep your children’s smile from being negatively impacted by lifelong problems.

You may believe you do not need to worry about their smile until their permanent teeth come in but unfortunately not taking care of their baby teeth can also cause long term problems.
