What Type Of Tooth Brush Should Your Child Use
There are hundreds of toothbrushes to
pick from and it can be stressful, or easy to pick the first one you come to in
the dental isle, but avoid picking the wrong one. By purchasing the right toothbrush
you can keep your child’s smile healthy for a lifetime. Manual versus power
toothbrush doesn’t make a huge difference, but a power toothbrush can make it
easier for your child to get food off of the teeth in the back where it can be
difficult to reach. Here are 4 things to keep in mind when purchasing a new brush.
The toothbrush brand does not matter, but the brush should have these 4
qualities.
1. It
should fit in their hand. The toothbrush should be easy for them to hold.
2. Bristles
should be soft. Hard bristles can damage the gums.
3. The
head of the toothbrush should be small and fit in their mouth.
4. Avoid
buying a toothbrush where the bristles fall out.
The tooth brush you pick is not going to make or break your child’s smile, but it is important to
ensure they have the right fit. Having a tooth brush that does not fit well in
their mouth or where the bristles come out easily can cause a bad experience
from the beginning.
