When should your child have there first dental exam/visit?

Many parents often question when their child should have their first dental appointment.  According to Cameron Fuller DDS, MS, an American Board Certified Pediatric Dentist and owner of Pediatric Dentistry of Redlands, states that  "every child should be seen by 6 months and no later than their first birthday."   Dr. Fuller believes that this gives the doctor a chance to provide your family with important information such as the child's diet, child's habits (thumb sucking or pacifier use), hygiene, tooth eruption sequences, and an opportunity to discuss questions the parents may have.   This helps increase the chance that your child will grow up with a healthy mouth.
